Summary: The tribal population in india consists of 8.8 percent as per census 1991. Large majority of the tribal people live in comparatively remote areas, which were not easily accessible till recent past. Although, the communication system has improved alot in these areas, yet there are still some villages, which are not easily accessible. Arunachal Pradesh is one of such tribal area in the North-Eastern part of India. These tribal communities have different dialects, different religion and different cultures. Even within the tribal communities there is a large degree of variation in all aspects from tribe to tribe and area to area. Differences are also found in educational development and educational problems area wise, tribe wise. This book is an outcome of research study on girls' education in different districts of Arunachal Pradesh. It deals with issues like: Wastage, Stagnation and problems faced by girls students at different school level in Arunachal Pradesh.
