Summary: The book is a humble attempt to touch uponand highlight the important areas of the society, economy, politics, literature, education, women empowerment, rural development, tribal development, folk culture, tea tribes development, entertainment etc. highlighting the role of different media and journalism in them. It is also designed as a reference book targeting all faculties, research scholars and students of mass communication & journalism in universities, colleges, institutions, media houses etc. This is the first research project from 2012-14 of the media management & research association.It may serve the purpose of being probably the first book of its kind and may inspire others to compile books in these fields. The book is a compilation of 25 research papers and 1 radio documentary script on different aspects of journalism & madia industry with their positive and negative roles and impacts in india including her trouble torn north east region.
